Executive Segway Tour
April 20, 2016 @ 9:00 am - December 31, 2020 @ 5:00 pm$69.00
Lean into a unique tour of Dallas’ famous sights and landmarks as you hop onto a nimble Segway and zoom off into the city. With an experienced guide leading the way, explore historic plazas, photograph beautiful parks, and listen to colorful anecdotes about the area’s fascinating past.
Start in the middle of downtown, where you meet your trip leader and get a quick lesson on basic Segway operation. When you’re comfortable with the controls, tighten your helmet and zoom off toward the shady trees and wide-open lawns of Dealey Plaza, the site of President John F. Kennedy’s tragic assassination.
Roll quietly through the plaza, spend a moment of reflection at the nearby JFK Memorial, and gaze at the façade of the Sixth Floor Museum, where artifacts and exhibits chronicle the fateful events of November 22, 1963.
Move on to the site of the former Dallas County Courthouse. Built in 1892, this eclectic edifice is now known as the Old Red Museum, named after the red sandstone used in its castle-like towers. Examples of more modern architecture are just a glide away at Victory Park, where high-end shops, restaurants, and gleaming glass buildings surround the American Airlines Center, home to the Dallas Mavericks.
Head past the Convention Center and admire the spiraling façade of the chapel in Thanksgiving Park before wrapping up your tour at Pioneer Plaza. Adorned with life-size statues of stampeding cattle and driving ranchers, the park’s incredible installations pay tribute to Texas’ cowboy past.
